Kunst, musik og mad i Bricklane! // Art, music and food in Bricklane!

// London is a city with many sights – some more popular than others. Your first day or two in London should obviously go to attractions such as Big Ben, London Eye and Camden Lock Market, however, if you ever have some extra time on you hand, I would definitely recommend you to go to Brick Lane in London. (Laura: „on a nice day though, or on a Sunday!”). Spreading across several streets in the Brick Lane area, you’ll find a number of markets under The Truman Markets umbrella that sells everything from vintage and handmade clothing, accessories, jewellery, music, arts and crafts, and tasty street food.

The first place we went to was Cereal Killer Café, the UK’s first speciality Cereal Café. This is an absolutely unique and quirky place that sells over 120 different types of cereal from around the world. To create the perfect bowl of cereal you can choose from 30 different varieties and 20 different toppings. The café is decorated with hundreds of pieces of memorabilia from the 80s and 90s which gives the place a super cool atmosphere. Cereal Killer Café is definitely the place to go to as a little stepping stone to traditional cafes.

After our delicious “cereal cocktail” breakfast meal which contained of one bowl of Sticky Money, a bowl of Chocopottomus as well as a bowl of Unicorn Poop, we headed off to the streets of Brick Lane. Filled with markets of any kind we discovered a whole new world of London’s street art, music and food. Some of the things we found were quite amazing, and something that you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else in London.
