tvang Laura til at tage et par ekstra runder indtil at hun fik en dårlig en,
hehe).
runde.
England.

gang, frem for at høre om det en million gange..”
// Over the
past few weeks I haven’t been up to that much, however, this weekend the
weather was so so nice, that it would be a shame to stay indoors, and since I
haven’t been on a road trip with the usual team (aka Laura, Valentina and Ben)
lately, we decided to do it again on Saturday. This time we went to Camber
Sands which is a beach at the village of Camber in East Sussex. Since it is the
only sand dune system in the county, it was pretty self-explanatory that the
beach would be packed! To get the most out of the day, we left quite early.
Laura, Valentina and I were all ready to meet Ben at quarter past nine, but
cheers to Ben for being more than 15 minutes late… Anyways, when we finally hit the road (in Ben’s
newly modified car which sounds dreadful but whatever), we obviously had to
sing along to some of the greatest tunes of all time, which you might remember
us doing last time as well. Some of the songs that we brought back to life in
the car were old, but gold, such as Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and The Black Eyed
Peas. I must say, we did get some weird looks from certain people that saw us
through the windows when we drove through the smaller towns. It took us a bit
more than an hour before to arrive to Camber Sands, but it was (as always) a
super pleasant drive. As we still arrived to the beach quite early, we did
manage to get a good spot before more people came later in the day.
We had from
the day before, so Friday, already bought loads of delicious food and snacks
that we could enjoy on the beach. We definitely bought way too much food, but
we did have a nice variety of different choices, so nothing was to a complete
waste anyways. Ben had recently bought the Jelly Belly Bean Boozled Challenge
which he had brought with him to the beach. I am definitely not a fan of eating
disgusting-tasting food neither am I a fan of normal-tasting Jelly Beans,
however, I did have a go with the others. It was the kit with the spinner, so
we all went for two rounds each (or we did force Laura to do a few extra rounds
till she got a bad one, hehe). In the first round I got the canned dog food
instead of chocolate pudding which was disgusting, but luckily in the next
round I had lime instead of lawn clippings.
One of the many
things that I really enjoyed from that day was when we walked along the beach
when the sea levels was at it very lowest. Due to the tide we could walk
roughly around two kilometres more to the seaside than we were able to do
earlier on the day. The ground was super soft though, and every now and then
our feet would sink a decent drop into the sand which was a bit disgusting, but
also quite funny.
We left
Camber Sands at around half past seven, and let me say that it was quite
emotional to say goodbye. Goodbyes are always difficult, and especially if you
don’t know when you will come back, but even though Camber Sands is just a
place, it will always be the home to one of my favourite days out in England.
