// I have half-term this week, so yesterday I was in London with Eleonora (Italy), Laura (Switzerland), and Valentina (Italy) – the same people I went to British Museum with. We also met one of Eleonora’s friends from home, who also is an exchange student here in England, however in South Hampton.
First we walked the way from Charing Cross to Oxford Circus to get to this Mexican restaurant that Laura has recommended. The restaurant was
Wahaca, which is a Mexican restaurant that sells many of the traditional Mexican dishes you can find on Mexico’s streets. Something that I really liked about this restaurant was that you could choose two or three (or more) small plates for a reasonable price, instead of a bigger main dish, so you could taste a variety of dishes. Nonetheless they still had normal size dishes on the menu. We all shared a portion of tortilla chips as a starter, before I had my smoky chipotle chicken quesadilla and my sweet potato & feta taquito. Both of my dishes tasted really good, and I do recommend them if you ever find yourself in one of their restaurants, however, everything on the menu sounded super delicious.
After our lunch we jumped on those Santander cycles that you can rent round in London, and biked the way to Tate Modern in Southbank. I may or may not fall of the bike on the way to the gallery... Tate Modern is one of Tate’s four galleries, and this one in London is for international modern and contemporary art. We spend a few hours in the gallery, before we took the train back to Tunbridge Wells at seven o’clock.
